INFORMATION SYSTEMS FOR INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT

GIS IS A TOOL. LET US MAKE IT WORK FOR YOU

Water

Most cities and towns’ Water Department has the function of providing their residents with sufficient quantity of clean and safe water. Fulfilling these tasks requires a great knowledge of knowing where equipment is, what is broken, status of repair, who fixed it, repair costs, enabling / disabling meters, what new projects coming to town may require water, etc.

Finding accurate information is, therefore, a MUST to carry out these tedious and very frustrating actions.

Our solution is to replicate the process by designing something simple, yet flexible enough that all employees can use at the same time within and/or outside of the office. For the past 8 years, we’ve designed such applications to help cities and towns place, maintain and update addresses, water lines, valves, hydrants, flag leaks in the water model and show the valves to be shut in order to fix the problem and maintain a log of all complaints or work orders. Our solution isn’t software driven. We tap into the VBA objects of most CAD/GIS software or use an integration of GIS and Visual Studio to deliver an effective and efficient product our clients use with ease. Some of our clients include the City of Anderson (water, work order) and the City of Huntington (water)
